I am also a Sales person that gets, and values, Marketing, and am highly experienced in ensuring the two functions work harmoniously towards the same goal, not against each other!

Chances are though, If you are a small to medium sized business facing growth challenges, you do not need a CFO or CMO right now, that's too big a leap and may come later.

Financials & Marketing are part of my 10 modules though, so we do cover this as part of your Growth Plan and build everything out aligned to your needs and priorities.

I am not a Content or Media strategist by definition, but I know this space exceptionally well and can provide you support here if that is what you need - but again, as an SME that is looking to focus on Growth, this will likely be less of a critical need right now, it will form part of your longer term plan. We cover this off also in your Growth Plan. â€‹

Here's some free advice!

 

One of the common challenges we come across, especially for SMEs, is that owners and managing directors are spread too thinly across their business, juggling multiple roles themselves, which can have a negative impact on their focus and the growth of their business.

​​

Surprisingly, Sales & Growth does not always get the attention it needs, and many over-rely on two things that they agree is not a sustainable model for Growth & Success!

​​​​​​​​Often, some of the basics get overlooked, for example, their Value Proposition is lacking and what should be a well thought out alignment to their potential client's needs, becomes a features and benefits list that doesn't talk to their true Value Proposition.  Many people we talk to, when we ask them to articulate their Value Proposition, lean into their exceptional Client Service, and the great things that clients say about them. 

​​

But here's a bit of a wake up call,  when pitching for new business, especially if your brand is not as well known as your competitors, this is not a strong Value Proposition, no matter how good you are at Client Service. Your competitors will all be saying exactly the same thing, and it will be hard to differentiate yourself.  Yes, great to have case studies and testimonials, but excellence in customer service & delivery is a critical part of your value proposition for your client retention and referral strategy - you should look deeper than this for your new business strategy.

So, if you do nothing from reading this, I would just encourage you to do one thing.

Review your Value Proposition!

It is one of the modules in our 10 module Growth Plan.

But, you can get started on this without me and there are some easy to use tools you can access online for free. Tools like the Value Proposition Canvas - a great model developed by Alexander Osterwalder, Founder & CEO Strategyzer.

It will help make a difference and get you started on your path to Growth.
